The First 30 Days…

This last Sunday marked 30 days online for the Better Horses Classifieds site. Your support has been amazing and we wanted to say a big “Thank You” to all who posted, visited, liked, tweeted or just talked it over the corral fence.

Overall, we’ve had 2,234 visits from 1,451 unique visitors who viewed 13,073 pages and spent an average of a little over…6 minutes on the site. 2,161 visits were from the US, and the other 73 were from 25 countries around the planet. It makes me think back 12 years to when we first published our little tri-fold flyer!

In the United States 1,454 visits were from 152 towns across Kansas and Missouri – with Minnesota, Texas and New York rounding out the top 5. Visitors came from every one of the 50 states except Alaska and Connecticut.

We’ve added several features to the classifieds site like the new ‘Tutorial” section and the ability to post videos from YouTube and include links in your ads to your websites and email addresses.

For those of you that are a little more adventurous and want to create a ‘feeder ad’ on Craigslist or Backpage, there is a step-by-step tutorial titled “Get More Horsepower”. When we tested this on a couple of our ads, the results were pretty interesting:

What’s Next…

I’m having our website support people add 2 new categories: Help Wanted and Situations Wanted which are for people seeking help or work in the equine industry. Who knows, maybe the next site will be called “BetterHorsesJobs.com”…

We’ve also been busy rolling out of the Better Truck Deal program – which is now online for people to subscribe to update notices. Over the next week or two, we’ll be adding a request form and the main phone number for folks wanting to get new American-made vehicles at great prices.
